Happiness Is A Voyage

We convince ourselves that life will be better once we are married, have a baby, then another.
Then we get frustrated because our children are not old enough, and that all will be well when they are older.
Then we are frustrated because they reach adolescence and we must deal with them. Surely we’ll be happier when they grow out of the teen years.
We tell ourselves our life will be better when our spouse gets his/her act together, when we have a nicer car, when we can take a vacation, when we finally retire.
The truth is that there is no better time to be happy than right now.
If not, then when?
Your life will always be full of challenges. It is better to admit as much and to decide to be happy in spite of it all.
For the longest time, it seemed that life was about to start.
Real life.
But there was always some obstacle along the way, an ordeal to get through, some work to be finished, some time to be given, a bill to be paid. Then life would start.
I finally came to understand that those obstacles were life.
That point of view helped me see that there isn’t any road to happiness.
Happiness IS the road.
So, enjoy every moment.
Stop waiting for school to end, for a return to school, to lose ten pounds, to gain ten ounds, for work to begin, to get married, for Friday evening, for Sunday morning, waiting for a new car, for your mortgage to be paid off, for spring, for summer, for fall, for winter, for the first or the fifteenth of the month, for your song to be played on the radio, to die, to be reborn… before deciding to be happy.
Happiness is a voyage, not a destination.
There is no better time to be happy than… NOW!
Live and enjoy the moment.

The Secret Ears

“Can I see my baby?” the happy new mother asked. When the bundle was nestled in her arms and she moved the fold of cloth to look upon his tiny face, she gasped.

The doctor turned quickly and looked out the tall hospital window. The baby had been born without ears. Time proved that the baby’s hearing was perfect. It was only his appearance that was marred.
When he rushed home from school one day and flung himself into his mother’s arms, she sighed, knowing that his life was to be a succession of heartbreaks.

He blurted out the tragedy. “A boy, a big boy… called me a freak.”

He grew up, handsome for his misfortune. A favorite with his fellow students, he might have been class president, but for that. He developed a gift, a talent for literature and music.

“But, you might mingle with other young people,” his mother reproved him, but felt a kindness in her heart.
The boy’s father had a session with the family physician. Could nothing be done?

“I believe I could graft on a pair of outer ears, if they could be procured,” the doctor decided.

Whereupon, the search began for a person who would make such a sacrifice for a young man. Two years went by.

Then his father said, “You are going to the hospital, son. Mother and I have someone who will donate the ears you need. But, it’s a secret who it is.”

The operation was a brilliant success, and a new person emerged. His talents blossomed into genius, and school and college became a series of triumphs. Later, he married and entered the diplomatic service.

“But, I must know!” He urged his father, “Who gave so much for me? I could never do enough for him.”

“I do not believe you could,” said the father, “but, the agreement was that you are not to know… not yet.”

The years kept their profound secret, but the day did come. It was one of the darkest days that ever pass through a son. He stood with his father over his mother’s casket. Slowly, tenderly, the father stretched forth a hand and raised the thick, reddish-brown hair to reveal that the mother had no outer ears.

“Mother said she was glad she never let her hair be cut,” he whispered gently, “and nobody ever thought mother less beautiful, did they?”

Real beauty lies not in the physical appearance, but in the heart. Real treasure lies not in what can be seen, but in what cannot be seen. Real love lies not in what is done and known, but in what is done and not known.

Financial Planning

Peace of mind and financial success come from taking control and following a plan. Such a plan must be tailored to your personal circumstances and objectives and executed with great care to maximize wealth creation and its protection. A big component of modern financial planning is evaluating not only the resources you have and how to manage them, it also encompasses reviewing your risk profile to determine things like adequate insurance so you are not dependent upon your own “nest egg” should a financial or medical emergency arise.

Organizing your financial world is like stretching before a good workout. Few people like to do it, but the preparation is critical. Relaxed muscles and tendons are now more conditioned to actually do the work set before them. It’s the same with your finances. By honestly and accurately assessing your financial world, you will condition your mind to be ready for the work before you. It’s not easy…but then again, nothing that is worth doing ever is.

Does the idea of putting money to work for you seem like a totally foreign concept? Can you imagine the day where…instead of getting up to go work for money…money instead works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for you? If you can not, then let me encourage you to change your thinking! The ultimate goal of financial planning is to set in place the checks and balances necessary to move you from working for money to making your money work for you. A million dollars may seem like a lot of money given your current financial outlook, but saving and investing your way to this sum is extremely doable. Putting money to work for you is the ultimate goal of financial planning, and if you aren’t thinking in those term..

THE IMPORTANCE OF FINANCIAL EDUCATION

Financial education is increasingly important, and not just for investors. It is becoming essential for the average family trying to decide how to balance its budget, buy a home, fund the children’s education and ensure an income when the parents retire. Of course people have always been responsible for managing their own finances on a day to day basis – spend on a holiday or save for new furniture; how much to put aside for a child’s education or to set them up in life – but recent developments have made financial education and awareness increasingly important for financial well-being.

For one thing, the growing sophistication of financial markets means consumers are not just choosing between interest rates on two different bank loans or savings plans, but are rather being offered a variety of complex financial instruments for borrowing and saving, with a large range of options. At the same time, the responsibility and risk for financial decisions that will have a major impact on an individual’s future life, notably pensions, are being shifted increasingly to workers and away from government and employers. As life expectancy is increasing, the pension question is particularly important as individuals will be enjoying longer periods of retirement.

Individuals will not be able to choose the right savings or investments for themselves, and may be at risk of fraud, if they are not financially literate. But if individuals do become financially educated, they will be more likely to save and to challenge financial service providers to develop products that truly respond to their needs, and that should have positive effects on both investment level and economic growth.

Individuals are increasingly being asked to take on sole responsibility – and assume the burden of risk – for complex savings tasks which were previously at least shared with governments or employers, such as investing for a pension or for higher education for their children. But how can individual workers or parents be expected to weigh the risks and make responsible choices in an ever more sophisticated financial market? This is true even in countries where consumers generally are familiar with financial instruments such as credit cards, mortgage loans and perhaps private saving to “top up” company pension plans. It is all the more difficult in emerging economies whose rapid development has given access to financial services to a large number of consumers, many of whom have only a limited experience with formal financial systems.

For emerging economies, financially educated consumers can help ensure that the financial sector makes an effective contribution to real economic growth and poverty reduction. But financial literacy is also crucial for more developed economies, to help ensure consumers save enough to provide an adequate income in retirement while avoiding high levels of debt that might result in bankruptcy and foreclosures. The information available on consumer financial literacy is worrying for two reasons – not only do individuals generally lack an adequate financial background or understanding to navigate today’s complex market, but unfortunately they also generally believe that they are far more financially literate than is really the case.

Kekayaan vs Kesihatan

Ada orang kata, kekayaan itu indah.
Memang sah la kan. Ada duit untuk survive.
Boleh beli apa sahaja.
Boleh pergi melancong selalu..
Maklumlah, ada banyak duit.

Kalo dah kaya, tapi ada masalah kesihatan pula macam mana?
Mesti duit banyak habis untuk kos perubatan..
Maklum la, nak sihat balik.
Tapi saya rasa kalo dah sakit, duit dah tak penting kot..

So, kalo yang fikir nak kaya tu..
Cubalah fikir jaga kesihatan dulu..
Kalo tiada masalah kesihatan, baru fikir nak jadi kaya..
Tapi jangan la lupa cari duit lak..
Nanti susah lak..

Sebenarnya, hidup kita sekarang ni memang memerlukan duit..
Tapi sampai bila kita nak mengharap bantuan orang kan...

Tapi cuba kalo diorang kena penyakit kronik..
Contoh seperti jantung, hati atau kanser?
Duit kekayaan tu habis diguna untuk kos perubatan je.

So, jangan nak peningkan kepala sangat.
Saya rasa sambil-sambil tu, jaga la kesihatan diri dulu..
Mencegah kan lebih baik..
Tapi kalo sudah takdir, kita berserah Pada-Nya..

Yang paling penting sekali..

CUBA IMBANGKAN KEKAYAAN DAN TAHAP KESIHATAN

Insya Allah..

Romantic Holiday Or Else..

A holiday with your partner should be about romance and relaxation. However, if this is the first time that you have been away together and haven’t dated for longer than six months then you may want to think again, because you will have different habits, routines, bathroom etiquette, and cleanliness. Here some tips :
  • Make sure you do some research and plan properly before you go. Make sure there is something for you both. For example: all you want is to lather up in sun screen and he wants to go sightseeing. Make sure where you go caters for both.
  • The thing with sharing a hotel room is that you are both in close proximity when the other needs the loo. If it is something that doesn’t bother you, then that’s great, but if it does, be warned. Both of you need to remember that you aren’t in your own bathrooms, be respectful and keep it clean.
  • Sun screen is essential, even if you are sightseeing, because you will be outdoors walking around in the sun. Buy a high factor sun screen, especially for the beach, as the last things you both want are dodgy tan lines from where your sunglasses were or being burnt to a crisp. It’s not a good look.
  • We all love a buffet, but the down side is that they will reveal the true porkie inside of us. Keep it penned in and just go for the one helping. When you second plate is piled high and your third bread roll is in your pocket, you know you have taken things a step too far.
  • If used pants and socks dumped on the floor bothers you, or you have any worries such as falling out, running out of conversation topics etc, make sure you talk about it or settle it before you go away. It will make it easier for both of you when you get there.

Berkongsi Hidup Dengan Anak-anak

How To Raise A Healthy Child - Healthy Eating Habit

The way children feel about food is as important as what they eat. If children adopt healthy habits by the time they reach the elementary school years, research shows they are more likely to eat well as adults, says physician Greenfield.

Teach Nutrition. Read nutritional labels out loud to your child. Explain which ingredients are nutritious, like whole grains, and which aren't, like refined sugar and hydrogenated fats. Involve your child in grocery shopping. For example, when choosing produce, ask your child to pick one color of the rainbow and buy a vegetable or fruit in that hue.

Don't Fight Over Cleaning the Plate. "The role of parents is to put forth good healthy foods. The role of the kid is to decide what to eat," says Greenfield. If kids are hungry, they'll eat, he adds. If you make something and they say they don't like it, don't force them to eat it, but do point out that it's the only dinner you're serving.

Make Mealtimes Enjoyable. Eat meals together as a family as often as possible; it's an important ritual of love and relaxation. Show pleasure during mealtimes; for example, it's definitely okay to say, "Yummmmm," says Greenfield.

How To Raise A Healthy Child - Connect With Your Child

Gaze, Hum, and Sing. Eye contact, humming, chanting, and singing all foster connectedness and enrich your relationship with your child. This gives the child the sense that he or she is safe and that the world cares and will respond to his or her feelings and needs. This is important at all times, but especially in times of distress.

Touch. If your baby wakes in the middle of the night, holding her close and soothing her with gentle rocking motions can help calm her. In general, the more you hold and carry your baby and are physically in touch with her wherever you go, the better. The most nurturing and comforting environment for a baby or small child is close to a parent's body or in his or her arms.

Speak in Private. No child likes to be embarrassed or look upset in front of other people, says psychiatrist Eve Dreyfus, M.D. If you want to talk to your child because she seems distressed or is acting out, go for a walk or wait until you're in a place alone together. When you offer criticism, do it gently and constructively.

How To Raise A Healthy Child - Ensure Good Nutrition

A healthy diet may help prevent food allergies, seasonal allergies, obesity, and other ailments that can stretch into adulthood. Good nutrition starts with infancy.
Breast-Feed. Mother's milk safeguards your infant's health better than formula, which doesn't offer the hundreds of healthy substances like fatty acids and growth factors found in breast milk. Benefits of breast milk include protecting your baby from childhood obesity, reducing the chances of allergies and asthma, and lowering the incidence of ear infections and diarrhea. Physician Russell Greenfield, M.D., recommends breast-feeding your child for one year. If you can't, choose a formula with added DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) or other omega-3 fatty acids, which may aid brain development.

Know When to Introduce Foods. Don't feed solid food to children before their digestive systems are ready. If they have solid food too soon, their bodies will not completely digest the food, and undigested food particles may enter their bloodstream and contribute to allergies, food intolerance, and other disorders, says naturopath Mary Bove, N.D. In general, babies are ready to try solid food at around 4 months if they are bottle-fed and 6 months if they are breast-fed, says Greenfield. Wait 18 to 24 months before introducing allergenic foods like citrus fruits, eggs, milk, pineapple, strawberries, and wheat, especially if allergies run in your family.
Broaden Your Child's Palate. As children begin to eat more solid foods, introduce them to a variety of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and legumes and other protein sources. The more foods children enjoy, the broader the range of nutrients they'll receive. Don't give up if your child likes only a handful of foods. You may need to expose her to a food eight to 10 times before she decides whether she'll eat it, says Greenfield. To make dinnertime easier on everyone, Greenfield asks his kids to taste, rather than finish, a new item.

Provide Healthy Beverages. "I push water to help kids develop a taste for it before juice or [cow's] milk," says Bove. Juice is high in sugar, posing a risk of cavities and blood sugar swings, and many children have trouble digesting cow's milk. Kids should drink a cup of water for every 10 pounds they weigh (up to eight glasses), recommends Greenfield. If you serve juice, dilute it with water, he says. Nutritious cow's milk alternatives include almond milk, rice milk, and soymilk.

Investment In Properties

A property that you buy with the purpose of generating financial returns is called an investment property. This property could be land, a single apartment or house, a block of flats, a commercial or industrial building. Investment properties generate profitsthrough rental income, capital growth or both. Investment properties are generally not used for residential purposes.

You can also generate rental income from your residential home by renting out spare rooms, but this is finding compatible and reliable tenants can be tough. So, buying a separate investment property and using this to generate rental income is usually a better option.

Benefits of Buying Investment Properties
  • Investment in property is usually prone to less volatility than shares. The investment in this sector is relatively a safe form of investment.
  • The value of your property rises in the long term.
  • You become eligible to receive tax deductions. You can include depreciation in the value of the investment property due to wear, tear and obsolescence as deductions in your tax returns.
  • You can obtain tax variations and enhance your cash flows.
  • You can earn from the rental income.
  • You can make use of negative gearing. A negatively geared investment property is one in which the interest on the property loan is higher than the rental income derived from the property. By indicating the difference between the interest and the rental income as losses incurred on the investment, you can get deductions in your tax returns. This is the legal remedy to reduce your taxes.

Learning About Protein

We probably know that we need to eat protein, but what is it? Many foods contain protein (say: pro-teen), but the best sources are beef, poultry, fish, eggs, dairy products, nuts, seeds, and legumes like black beans and lentils. Protein builds up, maintains, and replaces the tissues in our body. (Not the tissues that we blow our nose in! We mean the stuff our body's made up of.) Our muscles, our organs, and our immune system are made up mostly of protein.

Our body uses the protein that we eat to make lots of specialized protein molecules that have specific jobs. For instance, our body uses protein to make hemoglobin (say: hee-muh-glow-bin), the part of red blood cells that carries oxygen to every part of our body. Other proteins are used to build cardiac muscle. What's that? Our heart! In fact, whether we're running or just hanging out, protein is doing important work like moving our legs, moving our lungs, and protecting us from disease.

Bazar Ramadhan

Masuk je bulan Ramadhan, banyak bazar tumbuh macam cendawan.
Macam-macam juadah berbuka yang dijualnya.
Tapi masalahnye harga  kat sini agak keterlaluan skit.
Lain kawasan, lain harganya.
Nak murah masak sendiri.. Gerenti save cost nyer..

SAYANG...

sayang,
mengapa kau pergi seawal ini,
ketika aku masih memerlukan,

sayang,
apakah kau tidak menyayangi ku lagi,
apakah kau tidak kasihan kan aku lagi,

sayang,
ingin sekali aku bertemu kamu,
meluahkan kekusutan hati,
berbicara tentang kita seperti dahulu,

sayang,
izinkan aku terus mengingatimu,
sepanjang hayat ku,
seumur hidupku,

sayang,
izinkan aku merinduimu selalu,
kerna kau hanya satu kekasihku..
